Fighting in Ukraine is now mainly concentrated in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Shakhtyorsky directions.
It was in these five directions that the enemy concentrated his main efforts on the offensive. On Saturday, March 5, the Ukrainian military repelled more than 130 enemy attacks in the indicated directions. This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for March 5.
Aviation of the Air Force inflicted 18 strikes per day on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. Also, two strikes were inflicted on anti-aircraft missile systems, and one strike each on the composition of enemy ammunition and on a road bridge. In addition, four attack and reconnaissance drones of various types were shot down.
Rocket troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit three enemy concentration areas, two positions of anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as two enemy electronic warfare stations.
The General Staff noted that the Russians have problems on the battlefield. Thus, the Russian army is losing control on the battlefield over the so-called Cossack battalions. In particular, the command of the Cossack battalion “Steppe/Tiger”, which is located in the Ugledar region, is very dissatisfied with the leadership of the Russian armed forces. These “Cossacks” neglect interaction with the units of the Russian occupying army.
Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the situation around Bakhmut is difficult, but controlled by the Ukrainian military. The enemy has set himself the priority goal of taking the city, but the command of the Defense Forces and the military are doing everything to protect this settlement and at the same time inflict maximum losses on the enemy.
