New Zealand authorities have imposed new sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities for aggression against Ukraine. This is stated in a press release from the government of the country.
Thus, according to New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaiya Mahuty, the new sanctions affect individuals who spread disinformation and are responsible for cyber attacks in Ukraine.
In total, eight individuals and legal entities were blacklisted, including a representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Internet Research Agency company, engaged in an “internet troll factory”.
The government stressed that New Zealand continues to unanimously condemn Russia’s unreasonable and illegal attacks on Ukraine.
Recall, on May 2, New Zealand imposed new sanctions against 170 members of the Federation Council of Russia and six companies and organizations in the defense sector of the Russian Federation.
And in March, New Zealand imposed sanctions on 13 Russians. Among them are President Vladimir Putin and 12 members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, a bank and 18 other organizations.
