Ukraine will receive a new $400 million defense aid package from the US. USA.
This is stated in a statement published today, March 3, on the website of the White House by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
This help package will include:
- additional ammunition for HIMARS, howitzers and Bradley armored cars;
- armored bridge layers AVLB;
- explosive equipment;
- funding for training and maintenance.
Blinken also notes that the US continues to rally the world in support of Ukraine.
We already congratulate more than 50 countries that have united in solidarity with Ukraine to provide support in protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Only Russia can end its war today. Until Russia does this, for as long as it takes, we will stand with Ukraine and strengthen its military on the battlefield so that Ukraine has the strongest possible position at the negotiating table, the US Secretary of State said.
It is worth adding that earlier the German Embassy in Ukraine reported that this country had already transferred nine Biber armored bridge layers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Biber can deploy a 22m bridge in minutes.
