There was a rotation of IAEA experts to the Rivne, South Ukrainian and Khmelnytsky nuclear power plants.
The rotation of experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency took place at three Ukrainian nuclear power plants. This was announced by Energoatom on Telegram on Friday, March 3.
The experts were replaced by their colleagues at the Rivne, South Ukrainian and Khmelnytsky nuclear power plants.
International specialists from the IAEA should monitor compliance with safety indicators of Ukrainian nuclear power plants, in particular, under martial law.
The permanent presence of Agency representatives at domestic nuclear power plants makes it possible to continuously control and monitor nuclear and radiation safety.
In addition, IAEA inspectors can also evaluate the impact of Russian military strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and convey information about it to the entire world community. That is why the IAEA continues to guarantee the presence of its representatives at all nuclear power plants in Ukraine.
It will be recalled that in mid-February, the Russian military blocked the rotation of IAEA experts in the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant that they acquired. The round of the expert group took place on 2 March.
