A group of experts from the USA and Ukraine worked on the document. Its implementation has already begun.
A special group of international experts led by former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on Tuesday, May 10, proposed a roadmap for sanctions on energy in the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the head of state, this document is necessary to limit the Kremlin’s ability to continue the war without harming the global economy.
“This is a detailed document that describes what needs to be done to make it difficult for Russia to finance this war, but at the same time – so that the global economy does not suffer losses due to restrictions on energy resources. Russia, ”Zelensky said.
The President stressed that the Roadmap is a reasonably drawn document, whose implementation is already underway.
Recall, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that Hungary’s position on the issue of Russia’s oil embargo remains unchanged – the Hungarian government does not support the imposition of an energy embargo from Russia.
