The amount of voluntary contributions to the world’s first fleet of marine drones has already crossed the mark of UAH 500 million.
People from all over the world have already donated more than UAH 500 million through the United24 platform for the world’s first fleet of sea drones. Mstyslav Banik, Head of Electronic Services Development at the Ministry of Digital Transformation, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to him, since the initiative started, more than 50 different companies have joined it.
Banik clarified that only citizens of Lithuania, including journalist Andrius Tapinas, raised funds for three such devices.
The price of one device is 10 million UAH. The price includes a drone equipped with an autopilot system, video subsystems, including night vision, communications protected from enemy electronic warfare, backup communication modules and a warhead. Also included is a ground autonomous control station, a transportation and storage system, and a data processing center.
Recall that fundraising for the world’s first fleet of marine drones for the needs of the Ukrainian army on the United 24 fundraising platform began on November 11 last year.
As reported, residents of 93 countries are participating in the creation of a fleet of marine drones.
