Ukrainian soldiers, defending this sector of the front, weakened the enemy until the arrival of reserves, which would push back the invaders.

Ukrainian defenders are heroic defenders of the direction of Bakhmut. Thus, they weakened the Russians so that later trained reserves with new equipment could push the enemy back. This is what the spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty said on the air of the national telethon on Thursday, March 2.

“Today, if we look at the entire annual retrospective of the war, we will see that in almost all operations of our headquarters, the command has surpassed the enemy. And exactly what the defenders of the Bakhmut Front are doing now, heroically defending this segment of the front, they are exhausted, bleeding “, the enemy weakened. So that eventually, when our reserves arrive, when they are ready, with new equipment, it will be easier for them to throw the enemy out of our land,” he explained.

In the Bakhmut area itself, 59 attacks and 29 clashes took place. During the day, the invaders lost 94 servicemen killed and 121 wounded, the General Staff notes.

According to Cherevaty, “if there is a need to make a tactical retreat, it will be done”, causing maximum losses to the enemy.

“The Bakhmut part of the front is the center of the battle today. The Russians fell all day in the settlement area of Orekhovo-Vasilevka, Dubovo-Vasilevka, directly to Bakhmut, Ivanovskoye,” he said.

Recall that the border guards repelled the attack of the “Wagnerites” near Bakhmut, destroying ten mercenaries in the battle.
