The tasks of the Ukrainian defense department this year are fundamentally different from the goals set last year.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “turned” to the Ministry of Counteroffensive. This was announced on Wednesday, March 1, by the head of the department, Alexei Reznikov, on Facebook, talking about a meeting with G7 ambassadors.
He noted that the meeting discussed issues such as the situation at the front, changes in the structure of the Ministry of Defense, NATO and weapons issues, as well as the future counter-offensive at the front.
Reznikov also introduced his new representatives to the ambassadors – Alexander Pavlyuk, Andriy Shevchenko and Vitaly Deinega.
“We are building a ministry with effective management now – towards Success.
This is necessary for the success of our soldiers today and for a reliable world tomorrow,” the minister said.

Speaking about the meeting with G7 ambassadors, the minister’s non-staff adviser Alexei Kopytko explained Reznikov’s words about the “Ministry of Counteroffensive”: “Last year’s task was to survive, the task of this year is to bring victory as close as possible, to create all possible conditions for it. Roughly speaking, from the Ministry of Defense to be counteroffensive by the Ministry.”
