Russia demands unhindered access for its agricultural products and fertilizers to world markets.
Russia will agree to an extension of the grain deal only if its own interests are taken into account. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, March 1.
It has been reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met today on the sidelines of the G20 ministerial meeting in New Delhi.
“When discussing the prospects for the implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the Russian side emphasized that the continuation of the “package” grain agreement is possible only if the interests of Russian producers of agricultural products agriculture and fertilizers in terms of unhindered access to the world markets are considered,” the report said.
Lavrov and Cavusoglu also discussed Russian-Turkish relations and cooperation in the field of trade and economy.
Recall that Moscow considers it “irrational” to extend the grain deal if Russia does not lift sanctions affecting its agricultural exports.
Russia is also reportedly blocking ship inspections in the Bosphorus. As a result, in January, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products fell by 25% compared to December.
