The American CIA suggests that China may send lethal weapons to Russia for the war against Ukraine.
China’s military aid to the Russians in the long run could be problematic for Ukraine. This was announced on Tuesday, February 28, by the Supreme Commander of the NATO Joint Forces in Europe (2013-2016), retired General Philip Breedlove, reports Ukrinform.
At the same time, he noted that in the short term, such supplies will not carry any weight.
“I don’t think it will change the situation much in the short term,” the general said.
Breedlove expressed hope that the war in Ukraine would not last long. He also called on the West to give Ukraine “everything necessary for victory.”
“I believe that if we give Ukraine what it needs to win, it will be achieved quickly. In this case, supplies from China will have little effect,” the general is sure.
It should be noted that, according to media reports, Chinese authorities are considering sending drones and ammunition to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine.
As reported, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is afraid of the supply of weapons from China to the Russian Federation, despite the fact that China has published a plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine .
The Presidential Office called the possible supply of Chinese weapons to the Russian Federation a “big mistake”.
