AirPods maker GoerTek, like many other manufacturers, has been exploring countries outside of China, which now makes most of the gadgets.
“GoerTek is investing an initial $280 million in a new plant in Vietnam, and is also considering expansion into India,” said Deputy CEO Kazuyoshi Yoshinaga.
According to the publication, 9 of Apple’s 10 most important suppliers may be preparing large transfers from China, for example, to India. In the past few weeks, four suspicious objects have been shot down in North America, which they call spy balloons.
On February 4, the US military shot down a Chinese balloon that had been flying over US territory for almost a week. According to them, the device was collected by intelligence.
