Senator Ted Cruz (from R to Texas) tried to review the story on Monday, but he was shocked by his own previous comments.
When Fox News footage showed a peaceful protest in favor of access to abortions, Cruz criticized the crowd, calling it a “goog” and warning of an “increase”.
He then defended the right -wing group that attacked the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021:

This is very different from what Cruz said in the past.
This week, Progressive PAC MeidasTouch challenged Cruz’s words in his earlier comments about a mob he called “terrorists” on Jan. 6 carrying out “violent attacks on the Capitol”.
Earlier this year, Cruz was widely ridiculed for appearing on Fox News for an “embarrassing” and “embarrassing” look in which he desperately tried to repeat those words.
“Like I said yesterday, he was careless and openly stupid,” Cruz told Tucker Carlson in an embarrassing interview in January.
“I don’t seem to believe you,” Carlson said.
