Lukashenka believes that “the West has applauded the Ukrainian leader insincerely, even though Zelensky is allegedly pleased with it.”
Alexander Lukashenko said that “Ukraine should immediately make peace with Russia,” and Zelensky himself is “a good, albeit inexperienced one.” On Monday, February 27, Lukashenka was quoted by BelTA as saying.
In Lukashenko’s opinion, Kyiv should “make peace” with Moscow until “until Russia develops its economy completely and puts it on a war footing.”
“Today there is a unique situation, I see it and intuitively feel when it is possible to end this conflict. There may be nothing like it,” he said.
At the same time, he said that Moscow waged war against Kyiv to “ensure security for Russia – so that there would never be signs of aggression against it from the territory of Ukraine.”
In addition, he said that the alleged Russian authorities, “as from the first days,” were ready to take steps towards peace negotiations, but Ukraine “refused the already prepared plan on the table” at the insistence of “the West and the Americans.”
At the same time, Lukashenka said that if a conflict breaks out between the United States and China, then everyone will forget about the Ukrainians.
“Therefore, there is no other way but to conclude a peace agreement now. Without preconditions. We must negotiate with the Ukrainian military. Volodya Zelensky is a good man, but very inexperienced. Applause silences the him, he was very pleased. But, you know, applause can be far from sincere. He should understand this. So he went to the West and everybody there was shouting “Hurrah” and clapping. And I reminded him of Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev: he traveled to the West, everyone applauded him and how will he end? It will be exactly the same here, “said Lukashenka.
In addition, he called the Ukrainians “a wonderful, kind people,” so “you have to agree to the Kremlin’s conditions to stop the death of citizens.”
As reported, Lukashenka responded to rumors about Belarus being taken over by the Russian Federation, saying that “Russia and Belarus just want to cut it again.”
