The crew will conduct artillery fire at sea and air targets, and practice maneuvering.

In the Baltic Sea, Russia conducts exercises of missile ships equipped with Caliber cruise missiles. Odintsovo, Zeleny Dol and Sovetsk ships are engaged in maneuvers. This was announced on Monday, February 27, by the press service of the Western Military District of the Russian Defense Ministry.

In the Baltic Sea, the ships will “carry out a number of anti-ship and air defense tasks, as well as play a mock battle with naval strike groups of a mock enemy,” the message said.

“The ships’ crews will conduct reconnaissance of a mock enemy detachment and conduct joint electronic missile launch. During the mock missile launch, the ships will conduct real combat exercises that have passive jamming systems to avoid enemy anti-ship missiles. ,” the statement said.

The Russians also intend to train artillery on sea and air targets.

Recall that South Africa is conducting joint military exercises with the Russian Federation and China, which, according to South African opposition representatives, is tantamount to approving Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the Kyiv defense forces began planned training. The authorities assured that at present the threat of an attack on the capital from the north is minimal. The situation is stable and under control.
