The military discussed strengthening the air defense system and providing F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny had a telephone conversation with the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. Zaluzhny revealed the phone conversation on Telegram on Monday, February 27.
The military discussed the supply of military equipment, weapons and ammunition within the framework of international technical assistance to Ukraine, as well as the situation on the front line and further plans of the Defense Forces to liberate our territories.
“The need to strengthen the capabilities of the air defense system of Ukraine has been updated, including through the provision of F-16 multi-purpose combat aircraft,” Zaluzhny insisted.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also thanked his colleague for his strong support and noted that Ukraine is only destined to win.
It was previously reported that Ukraine’s allies could transfer F-16 fighter jets and long-range weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at a decisive turning point in the war with Russia.
