During the last weekend, BigHit Music, the company responsible for BTSissued a statement announcing that j-hope started the necessary process to carry out his military enlistment soon.
“We would like to inform our fans that J-Hope has started the military enlistment process by requesting to cancel the postponement of his enlistment. We will inform you of further updates in a timely manner,” the company said in a statement.
Shortly after the news was released, j-hope made a point of carrying out a live broadcast through the WeVerse platform to talk a little more with fans, and reassure them about the matter. In this ocasion, hoseok said that he has been thinking about his enlistment since last year, and that he decided to go into the military soon thinking about ARMYs.
“I think I’ve been thinking about it [no alistamento] since last year. After Jin hyung walked in, I wondered when I should do that too. Thinking about it, I decided that the sooner I get in, the sooner I can come back and show you something good.”
However, even with his enlistment, hobbyas he is affectionately called by ARMYs, stated that he has already left countless contents prepared especially for fans, as a form of gift for them to be comforted while he is away.
“Although I am enlisting, I have prepared many different things just for you. You know J-Hope’s personality! I always think and prepare a lot.”
Also, before officially reporting to the South Korean army, j-hope will also release a new single titled “on the street” which, according to BigHit, was written by the idol to “share his heartfelt feelings with his fans. The title “on the street” refers to the roots of j-hope — street dance — where his dream of becoming an artist began, and the path that artist and fans will continue to walk together.”
The song is scheduled to be released on March 3, at 2 am (Brasília time). This will be the first release of j-hope since his debut as a soloist through the album “JACK IN THE BOX”. Remember the video for the title track “Arson”!
