Of the total amount of deposits of individuals at the beginning of February, deposits in national currency amounted to UAH 634.7 billion, and deposits in foreign currency – UAH 406.5 billion.
As of February 1, the total amount of deposits of individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in banks participating in the Deposit Guarantee Fund reached UAH 1.041 trillion, which is almost UAH 10 billion less than at the beginning of January . This was reported by the press service of the Fund.
It was noted that from the total amount of deposits of individuals at the beginning of February 2023, deposits in national currency amounted to UAH 634.7 billion, and deposits in foreign currency – UAH 406.5 billion.
The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors on February 1, 2023 reached 3%, and the value of their deposits was UAH 112.9 billion (10.8% of the total value of deposits. The deposits of individuals that entrepreneur is subject to Fund guarantees from January 1, 2017.
As noted by the Fund, during the period of martial law in Ukraine and for three months after its cancellation or termination, deposits of individuals (including sole proprietors) in member banks of the Fund are subject to 100% guarantees.
The maximum amount of guaranteed compensation for depositors of banks in Ukraine after the completion of a three-month period from the date of cancellation or termination of martial law will be UAH 600,000.
It was reported that as of February 1, there were 67 banks in the register of participants in the Guarantee Fund.
Recall that the amount of bank deposits of Ukrainians exceeds one trillion hryvnias. In December last year, the amount of bank deposits of Ukrainian citizens increased by UAH 58.4 billion.
