A soldier of the territorial defense of Volyn died on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
The tragedy occurred at an observation post near the village of Tur in the Ratnovskaya community at dawn on February 25. 33-year-old Sergei Panasyuk, who served in the 100th separate terrorist defense brigade, died. He was drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 26, 2022. This is reported by the local edition of the Volyn Post.
And Obshchestvennoe, citing Serhiy Khominsky, speaker of the Volyn TRO brigade, writes that the fighter died during a combat mission. All circumstances of death are established by law enforcement officers, the military is conducting its official investigation.
Panasyuk, who was the commander of a rifle platoon, left a daughter and a son. In the village of Seltse, Ratnovskaya community, on February 26, they said goodbye to the junior sergeant.
Earlier, social networks and some media wrote about the alleged enemy shelling from Belarus, but the Belarusian border committee objected that they were shooting.
Recall, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the Belarusians are trying to refrain from participating in the war against Ukraine on the side of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, but will be forced to obey the orders of the dictator Alexander Lukashenko.
