The aggressor country Russia is likely to be concerned about explosions in occupied Mariupol.
Previously, the invaders considered this zone unreachable for conventional Ukrainian strike weapons. The city is located at a distance of at least 80 km from the front line. However, on February 21, 2023, pro-Russian officials reported at least 14 explosions in the area of temporarily occupied Mariupol. This is stated in the new report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain for February 27.
There were hits on the Russian ammunition depot at the airport, two fuel depots and a metallurgical plant using the aggressor as a military base.
Russia is likely to be concerned that strange explosions are taking place in an area that it probably previously assessed as being beyond the reach of conventional Ukrainian strike weapons, the British agency said in a report.
Recall, the authorities of Mariupol reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are destroying ammunition depots and Russian deployment sites in the city with high-precision strikes, and the enemy does not understand what to do and is trying to move the equipment. Arrivals in Mariupol were a real shock for the occupiers, because Russian air defense and aviation are not able to protect military targets.
