Lukashenka said Belarus had mastered “new demanding directions” in arms production.
Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said that despite the sanctions, Belarus, together with Russia, produces various types of weapons and sells them to 57 countries. He said this at a meeting on financing the purchase of military products on February 27, according to Pool of the first.
“I would like to note that, despite the unprecedented pressure of sanctions, we are producing enough weapons and military equipment for the needs of the Belarusian army. This is due to the fact that all we need – the I mean weapons, hardware – we can easily get from Russia. And about microelectronics, optoelectronics, optics and other things – kudos to those who maintain the production we inherited from the Soviet Union. And so, with Russia, we can produce any kind of weapon,” Lukashenka said.
According to him, Belarus produces so many weapons that “it can also export these products to 57 countries of the world, which it does.”
Lukashenka also said that Belarus has mastered “newly demanded areas of weapons production – rockets, large-caliber artillery shells.”
Recall that EU ambassadors agreed to extend by one year the sanctions against 195 people and 34 organizations from Belarus, including Lukashenka and his inner circle.
As reported, Lukashenka responded to rumors about Belarus being taken over by the Russian Federation, saying that “Russia and Belarus just want to cut it again.”
