The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council fears that if Ukraine breaks diplomatic relations with Belarus, it will be involved in a war.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov said that Ukraine is not breaking diplomatic relations with Belarus to prevent it from entering the war. Danilov spoke about this in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“A person who now has some powers on the territory of Belarus, he thinks, he controls the whole situation. Do you want us to stir up a situation about some processes on the territory of Belarus today? I think no,” he said.
According to Danilov, the authorities are doing everything to prevent this from happening. He mentioned that there are about 10,000 Russian soldiers on the Belarusian training ground.
“They give them such an opportunity. But I emphasize again that we have no desire for Belarus and the Belarusian army to join the Russians on the side of Russia,” added the NSDC secretary.
At the same time, Danilov did not explain how diplomatic relations could prevent the leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, from participating in the war.
Earlier, Danilov said that the Russian Federation is preparing a plan “land in exchange for peace.” The Kremlin, through its experts, will try to convince Ukraine to give up part of the land in exchange for “peace.”
Remember, on Sunday, February 26, two explosions occurred at the Belarusian military airfield Machulishchi, located 12 kilometers from Minsk, as a result of which a Russian military transport aircraft was damaged.
