Ukraine needs modern technological weapons that will help quickly restore order in the sky and free it from the presence of terrorists in the air.
Since September 11, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed more than 650 Russian cruise missiles and 610 Iranian drones. This was announced by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Nikolai Oleshchuk in an interview with ArmyInform.
“Since September 11, 2022, more than 650 cruise missiles of the invaders and more than 610 Iranian strike drones have been destroyed,” Oleshchuk said.
According to him, the Air Force has received NASAMS, IRIS-T, Crotale anti-aircraft missile system, Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled gun from Western partners and is now waiting to receive Patriot and SAMP / T- MAMBA. However, he said, this help is not enough.
“We need more technologically advanced weapons that will help quickly restore order in the sky and free it from the presence of airborne terrorists. Our allies know exactly what Ukraine needs, especially the Air Force,” said Oleshchuk, adding that we are talking about modern multi-purpose aircraft and anti-aircraft missile systems of medium and long range.
