Eva Mendes provides details on the life of a mother over 40 years old.
Mendes, 48, shared Today’s Friday, Hoda Kotb recounted how a mother raising her children feels after a career break.
The “Training Day” actor, who shares two daughters with his partner Ryan Gosling, called education “the most creative thing I’ve ever done.”
“I am an artist, I have a costume, I did something different. “But the most creative thing is to create a life with them,” he said of his daughters, Esmeralda, 7 and Amada, 6.
Mendes, whose acting career lasted more than two decades, explained why she decided to take a break from acting to become a full-time mother.
“I really recovered when I was little,” he explained. “My mother may have been by my side at home for 8 or 9 years and the memories that formed in me of who I am, the years I was with her.”
Mendes said it feels “happy” to have the opportunity to have fun with his girls.
“I said, ‘Hell, I really want to spend time with them.’ “Now, you know, I’m obsessed,” Mendes told Kotb.
Despite leaving Hollywood, quality time isn’t always easy. Sometimes he even had to stay away from family.
Before leaving for an interview with Kotb, Mendes was in London with his family, where Gosling is currently taking. Saying goodbye to daughters is not easy, he said.
“Oh, it was so dramatic, they hugged, and then my boss, 7, said, ‘Don’t leave us.’ And I say, ‘My God, I can’t do this,’ ”he said. “And of course” I’m here and they’re fine. ”
Mendes admitted that he did not really lack in acting, bBut that doesn’t mean he’s still closing the curtain on his career.
“I think at some point it will be fun. But I think my list is very short. “I don’t want anything violent, I don’t want anything sexual,” said Mendes, who will return to acting in the future. “I said, ‘What’s left?’
