An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 struck central Turkey on Saturday, February 25, emergency management agency AFAD said.
Shocks were recorded at a depth of 7 km in Nigde province. No casualties were reported.
This is the third significant earthquake in February this year. On February 6, strong earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.8 occurred in southeastern Turkey. According to the latest data, the number of victims of the earthquake exceeded 44.2 thousand.
As a result of repeated strong earthquakes on February 20 in Turkey, six people died and almost 300 were injured.
