The Verkhovna Rada yesterday, February 24, supported bill No. 7475 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the Protection of the State Border.”
This bill provides for changes to some laws on the protection of the state border, the press service of the GNSU reports.
In particular, changes in the legislation suggest that the strip along the Ukrainian-Russian and Ukrainian-Belarusian borders will increase to 2 km in width.
It will practically be mined territory, — note in GNSU.
In addition, this bill regulates the issues of involving the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the National Police in the performance of tasks to protect the state border, and also determines the place of border guards in the general system of defense forces during martial law.
