Germany will send four more modern Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine from Bundeswehr warehouses. This was reported by Tagesspiegel.
German Federal Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius on February 24 decided to increase the total number of planned deliveries from 14 to 18 Leopard 2 A6 tanks.
It was noted that Germany, together with its partner countries Portugal and Sweden, is now able to provide Ukraine with a battalion of 31 tanks.
Recall that today President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the first Polish Leopard tanks have arrived in Ukraine. Warsaw has given four Leopard 2 tanks to Kyiv, and other combat vehicles will arrive later.
In addition, according to media reports, Sweden will transfer 10 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
