In Barnaul, five activists were detained, who went to the central square of the city with actions, pickets.
In Samara and Yekaterinburg, people were detained who, on February 24, laid flowers on monuments to those detained. In particular, seven activists were detained simultaneously, including a journalist and two minors. Later, journalist Vladislav Muzafarov (with a certificate of editorial assignment) was detained in Yekaterinburg.
In St. Petersburg, police detained nine activists for placing flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko. Seven of them were taken to the police station.
On Thursday, February 23, there were arrests of activists who came out with protests in Moscow.
The media also prepared statistics on detentions for demonstrating an anti-war position from February 24, 2022 to February 15, 2023 – a total of 19,586 cases.
It will be recalled that the FSB of Russia announced the detention in the Moscow region of an “agent of the Security Service of Ukraine”, whose recruitment was allegedly involved in Poland and Latvia.
Even earlier, in January, the FSB announced the arrest of a Russian who “prepared a terrorist crime on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services.”
