The army of the Russian Federation continues to attack the civilian infrastructure of the Donetsk region.
Since the beginning of the mass invasion of Ukraine, the Russian invaders have damaged and destroyed 86,870 thousand houses in the Donetsk region. This was said on Thursday, February 23, in a statement by the head of Donetsk OVA, Pavel Kirilenko.
“Destroyed or damaged 86,870 houses, of which 5,395 are multi-apartment, and the private housing sector – 81,475,” – said in a statement.
According to the head of the OVA, the Russians destroyed 63 boiler houses, 20 bridges, almost 450 kilometers of gas pipelines.
He also pointed out that the invaders systematically shot at educational institutions, as a result of which 720 buildings were destroyed and damaged.
It should be noted that approximately 3.3 million children in Ukraine are in need of assistance, and 1.5 million of them have been traumatized by the war.
It will be remembered, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Thursday, February 23, adopted a law on the creation of a state register of properties damaged and destroyed by the war and the procedure for compensation for it from the state.
