A full-scale invasion of Ukraine would have been a colossal loss for Russia. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov, reports RBC-Ukraine.
“This year, the Kremlin lost 10 times more soldiers than in 10 years of war in Afghanistan. And a huge amount of equipment, including the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, which happened for the first time in more than 100 years ,” said the minister.
Reznikov noted that if at first many thought that it was possible for the Russians to capture Kyiv in three days, now the world’s leading platforms are discussing the victory of Ukraine and the defeat of the Russian Federation.
The people, army and international partners achieved the strategic defeat of Russia, the head of the military department insisted.
“Ukraine has shown that it can be an effective shield for Europe in the east. Investing in strengthening Ukraine is security and protection for Europeans,” concluded Reznikov.
Recall that earlier the Ministry of Defense named 10 victories of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the year of a full-scale invasion of Russia. The head of the GUR, Kirill Budanov, said that Russia will soon be forced to withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine.
