The 72nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brought one of the latest modifications of the BMP-1 near Vuhledar, which, under the name “Basurmanin”, became operational with the Russian army on the eve of the war.
During the battle, the Russian military used T-80BV main battle tanks. Also, for the offensive, the invaders attracted the infantry fighting vehicle BMP-1AM “Basurmanin”, which, after modification, received a 30-mm 2A72 cannon with a combined sight, a 7.62-mm PKTM machine gun and a 902V “Tucha” system.
The fighters of the Black Zaporozhets Brigade managed to neutralize two T-80BV and BMP-1AM tanks and completely destroy another armored vehicle.

The situation in the Vuglodar sector continues to be difficult, but under control, said Aleksey Dmitrashkovsky, spokesman for the defense of the Tauride sector. He said that near Ugledar, Russian troops stormed Ukrainian positions 43 times over the past day.
Today the enemy has become somewhat more active. In the Uludar direction, the Russians carried out 43 assault attacks on our positions. As of 18:00, two assault attacks are still ongoing. Cannon artillery and MLRS of the enemy worked very actively today. In particular, the enemy fired at our positions 211 times. However, the Russians today suffered heavy losses. There were more than two companies of killed and wounded Russians,” Dmitrashkovsky said.
