Earthquakes in Turkey: 160 people involved in construction arrested

The investigation into the theft in the disaster zone continues, 181 suspects are in custody.

Turkey has arrested 160 people on charges of violating construction rules after the earthquake. This was reported on February 22 by Anadolu agency.

It was mentioned that according to the decisions of the prosecutor’s office in the provinces located in the disaster zone, after February 6, 564 suspects of involvement in the construction of damaged buildings were detained.

Subsequently, 160 of the detainees were arrested, and 175 were placed under judicial control.

In addition, a warrant was also issued for the arrest of 71 suspects and the detention of 61 people.

The prosecutor’s office is also investigating the facts of the robbery at the disaster site. According to Haberturk, 181 people were arrested.

Remember, on February 6, two earthquakes with a magnitude greater than seven points occurred in southern Turkey. Today, the number of victims of the elements exceeds 42 thousand people.
