As part of the Gift for Putin initiative, the Czech Republic has begun raising funds for the purchase of a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) RM-70 for Ukraine. In the first four hours, Czechs collected more than 2 million crowns (more than 84 thousand euros), according to České Noviny.
The co-author of the project, Martin Ondracek, said that this is the fastest start of Czech fundraising for weapons for the Ukrainian army.

Ondracek reported that the Czech ammunition manufacturer STV Group has started the modernization and reconstruction of several rocket launch systems for the needs of the Ukrainian army, by the end of April it should be ready for shipment.
The Gift for Putin project appeared in early May 2022. Earlier, the Czechs had already bought a tank for Ukraine, which they named Thomas, and an anti-aircraft missile system, named Victor.
It was previously reported that the air defense systems for Ukraine will be manufactured in the Czech Republic. The necessary work will be performed by a Czech company, and payment for the order will be made jointly by the USA and the Netherlands.
