The Security Service of Ukraine detained the headman of a village in the Kyiv region, who in February last year provided the army of Russian war criminals with road routes for an attack on the capital.
According to the investigation, on February 24, 2022, the headman of the village of Ozera of the Gostomel community oriented the occupation groups of Russia to the territory. He provided Russian troops with road routes for the advancement of military columns through Gostomel and Moshchun in the direction of Kyiv.
In the future, the headman accompanied the Russian battalion tactical groups, which stormed both villages and tried to break through to Kyiv.
He also received from Russian war criminals an AK-74S assault rifle and a white armband as an identification mark of the occupiers. He personally participated in patrolling local settlements and “leaked” the addresses of the premises of Ukrainian patriots to the headquarters of the invaders.
In addition, the headman organized the “quartering” of the personnel of the Russian armed forces in the homes of people who left the area, and also handed over communal vehicles to the invaders. After the liberation of the region, the headman remained in the village in the hope of avoiding justice.
Currently, the man has been informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law). The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
