The President of the Russian Federation at the parade commented on the invasion of Ukraine, but did not declare war and mobilization.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the invasion of Ukraine “the only right decision,” as NATO countries were allegedly preparing an attack on Crimea. Putin said this on Monday, May 9, in his speech at the parade in Moscow.
“Russia gave a preemptive rebuff to the aggression, it was a forced, timely and only right decision,” Putin said.
According to him, NATO countries do not want to hear Russia and they are preparing an attack on Crimea and Donbass. In total, in his speech, Putin mentioned the Donbass six times, NATO – three times, Bandera – 1 time, Russophobia – 1 time.
“The Alliance started the military development of the territories next to us, in Kyiv they started talking about the need to acquire nuclear weapons. There is a direct threat to Russia on our borders. Everything indicates that a clash with neo- Nazis, Bandera is inevitable, “Putin said.
Putin’s words have never been like a declaration of war and mobilization, as predicted by a number of analysts.
The leader of the Russian Federation addressed the Russian military and Donbass mercenaries, saying they were fighting for “the security of their homeland.”
Putin said that military personnel who came from Donbass were participating in the parade. Meanwhile, the head of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Gerasimov, has not appeared at the parade until now.
Earlier, it was reported that the air part of the parade in Moscow was canceled – allegedly due to the weather, although only small clouds were in the sky.
Recall that this year the Russian authorities did not invite any of the foreign leaders to the May 9 parade in Moscow in honor of the 77th anniversary of the Victory.
