Ukraine and the United States have stepped up work on providing weapons that were previously excluded from military aid packages. This is what President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his video message on Monday evening, February 20.
“Today I saw such determination from President Joe Biden and the United States. And I want to thank Mr. President for this visit and for the conversations – really useful – that we really continued our -talks, which we started in Washington during my visit in December,” said the Ukrainian head of state.
According to him, the supply of long-range weapons is currently underway.
“We are working on the supply of long-range weapons and other types of weapons that were previously not included in the support packages. And I thank you for another package that will definitely strengthen our guys on the front line,” Zelensky summed up.
It can be remembered that Biden during his visit to Kyiv said that the United States will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package totaling $500 million.
