The Netherlands authorities have decided to “equalize” the number of diplomatic workers working in the two countries.
The Netherlands intends to expel 17 Russian diplomats. This is what the head of the kingdom’s military intelligence, Jan Swillens, reported the national television company NOS.
According to him, this decision was made within the framework of “equalizing” the number of embassy employees working in each of the countries.
Earlier, the Netherlands expelled Russian diplomats from the country, who turned out to be spies. It has been reported that the Russian Trade Office in Amsterdam will also be closed. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that they would give an appropriate answer.
