A senior Chinese diplomat, chief adviser to the Chinese President, Wang Yi, arrived in Moscow on a visit, Sky News reported on Monday, February 20.
According to the publication, a Chinese diplomat arrived in the Russian capital for talks on a possible “peace plan” for Ukraine and Russia.
Wang Yi reportedly plans to “increase China’s role” in negotiations regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine.
It can be recalled that earlier the main Chinese diplomat visited Europe. Wang Yi traveled to Italy and France, where he met with foreign ministers.
Also, an adviser to President Xi Jinping took part in the Munich Security Conference, where he spoke with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
On the eve of the media it was reported that China is likely to provide non-lethal military assistance to the Russian Federation. The White House warned China that Russian arms assistance would “seriously complicate relations with the United States.”
