In Ukraine, 461 children have already died and at least 924 have been injured to varying degrees as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion.
This was announced today, February 19, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
These figures are not final. Work is underway to install them in places of warfare, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the department notes.
Children in the following regions suffered the most:
- Donetsk region – 445;
- Kharkiv region – 272;
- Kyiv region – 123;
- Kherson region – 87;
- Zaporozhye region – 84;
- Mykolaiv region – 83;
- Chernihiv region – 68;
- Lugansk region – 66;
- Dnepropetrovsk region – 64.
In particular, on February 17, a 16-year-old teenager was wounded as a result of enemy shelling of the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
