Poland plans to transfer Leopard 2 tanks and PT-91 tanks (an upgraded version of the T-72) to Ukraine within a month or two. This is what Polish President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with Ukrinform.
“I think this period is completely realistic, given the duration of the training course on the combined maintenance of Leopard tanks, which the Ukrainian military is currently taking in Sventoszow (a tank training area in Poland – ed.) ,” he says.
According to Duda, now on the territory of Poland, the Ukrainian military continues training on tanks and simulators. In addition, there is a full tank maintenance training.
Earlier, the President of Poland and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak visited the Ukrainian military training ground in Swietoszow, where APU fighters were trained on Leopard tanks German made.
