Russia will not conduct major offensives in Ukraine in the near future. This is what German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in an interview with Welt TV on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, reports Handelsblatt.
So, Pistorius was asked to comment on forecasts about the upcoming Russian offensive in Ukraine. To this, Pistorius replied that he did not expect a major Russian offensive in the near future.
“There is a certain possibility to expect it. Personally, I don’t believe in it,” said the German defense minister.
He added that he believes that Russia is playing for time and wants to continue this war of attrition.
