Konstantin Sigov– The intellectual kinship between Western Europe and Ukraine is very old. in XVIIe and XVIIIe For centuries, the University of Kiev taught Latin and translated many European books into Cyrillic. There were real cultural exchanges. The Soviet regime tried to break this tradition, curtail and distort our knowledge of the West through censorship.
But it was not completely successful, Ukrainian university centers have always kept a degree of freedom, much more than Russian centers. That is why in the 1990s we wanted to reintroduce this beautiful tradition and rediscover Western thought in depth, away from forced caricatures…
