The Kremlin has limited options for an offensive on the territory of Ukraine, and each day of the war causes significant losses to Russia, including in terms of human casualties. Ian Stubbs, senior military adviser to the British delegation to the OSCE, said this on Wednesday, February 15, writes Ukrinform.
He noted that Russia had recently suffered the biggest losses since the beginning of the invasion of Ukrainian territory. This also prompted the military leadership of the Russian Federation to send to the front most of the reservists who were called up as part of the “partial mobilization” and units of Wagner’s private military company.
Stubbs noted that the ability of Putin and his military leaders to continue the war is limited.
“They may continue to deplete their forces by reducing the range of their targets, or mobilize further,” he predicted.
“But there is another option: Putin can end this war now, withdraw all Russian troops from the sovereign territory of Ukraine and thus stop the senseless sacrifice of thousands of ordinary Russians,” Stubbs added .
Remember, as NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, Russia has launched a new major offensive in Ukraine.
