The issue of controlling spending intended to support Ukraine is a top priority for the US administration.
Ukraine is open to responsibility for the use of multibillion-dollar US aid and is actively communicating with the US on multiple levels to provide all necessary information. This was announced on Wednesday, February 15, in a briefing by the head of the Department of International Assistance at the Department of State of the United States, Daphne Rand.
“We are working responsibly with the government of Ukraine, with President Zelensky and his wonderful team, and they are actively involved in this,” the diplomat said.
He noted that the data obtained allows us to provide a clear answer to taxpayers, as well as to the government and the Congress of the United States, how and where American funds are used.
According to him, the issue of controlling spending intended to support Ukraine is the main priority of the US administration.
“We’re focused on that, we’re watching every dollar and we’re striving for the highest level of accountability,” the State Department spokesperson concluded.
Recall that the United States intends to provide Ukraine with 9.9 billion dollars in budget aid in the coming months.
According to media reports, the United States will provide Ukraine with $520 million worth of shells.
