Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is convinced that any attempt by Russia to seize the initiative on the battlefield will be defeated.
The spring should be done in such a way that it feels that Ukraine is on its way to victory. This was announced on Wednesday, February 15, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video message.
“We must make the spring as if Ukraine is moving towards victory. This has to do with the preparation of our Defense Forces, the supply of weapons for our state and our strategic war initiative. Any attempts by Russia to seize the initiative must be broken. And I am sure that we will do it, “said the head of state.
He also thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the defense and said that every day the soldiers are helping to prepare for the future liberation of Ukrainian cities.
“And I thank our soldiers. To each one who, with their endurance and courage on the front line, allows us to prepare our next steps in defense,” he said.
He mentioned the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa and the 10th separate attack brigade “Edelweiss” for the effective defense of Donbass.
“The 25th separate airborne Sicheslav brigade, the 81st separate airborne brigade and the 95th separate airborne assault brigade: thank you guys for the defense of Lugansk,” said the head of state.
The President pointed out the heavy losses of the enemy and expressed his belief that soon it would be difficult to find, for example, one “marine” in all of Russia.
To be remembered, according to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, approximately 1,200 Ukrainian servicemen have been trained in Germany in handling various combat systems.
Pistorius also said that Ukraine will not yet receive the promised number of battle tanks, because at the meeting of the so-called tank coalition no new promises were made for the supply of Leopard 2A6 tanks.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine asked the Netherlands to transfer F-16 fighters.
