British intelligence claims that the production of weapons and equipment in Russia does not meet the needs of the military-political leadership for resources to wage a full-scale war against Ukraine.
This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense.
On February 9, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called for an increase in tank production in Russia during a visit to the Omsk Transport Engineering Plant. This follows several previous public comments by Russian President Vladimir Putin calling on the defense industry to better support a “special military operation.”
On January 12, the paths accused the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the defense industry, Denis Manturov, of “fooling around.”
The top Russian leadership is probably aware that the state’s military-industrial production is becoming a critical weak point, exacerbated by strategic and operational miscalculations associated with the invasion of Ukraine, the review says.
Also, British intelligence pointed out that “Russian production almost certainly does not meet the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense for resources to conduct a campaign in Ukraine and restore its long-term defense needs.”
Recall that Moscow seeks to negate the successes achieved by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in September-November.
