Humanitarian aid from EU countries began to arrive in Ukraine from the second day of the massive Russian invasion.
On Ukraine’s western borders, border guards, along with customs officials, released more than 60,000 vehicles with humanitarian aid for Ukrainian citizens. It was reported to the State Border Service.
“Humanitarian aid from EU countries began to arrive in Ukraine from the second day of the full-scale invasion of Russia. During 355 days of fighting the enemy, we received 60,000 vehicles with material from our friends and partners . On average, it is about 170 vehicles per day, which are transported for our citizens who need necessary medicines, hygiene products, clothes, food, clothing, household items, etc., “said the message .
The State Border Guard Service reminds that at border crossings, where there is a technical possibility, separate traffic lanes are allocated for cargo clearance on a priority basis, documentary procedures are carried out in a simplified way.
“We clearly understand that a person’s life may depend on the immediate delivery of medicines, food and other means both on the battlefield and in the regions affected by the invaders. Every shipment of such cargoes is a contribution to our Victory against the enemy, support for our defenders and all the people of Ukraine. We are endlessly grateful to everyone for their help!” – said the border guards.
