The United States believes that the three flying objects it shot down in recent days are not connected to China and may be completely harmless objects used for commercial or investigative purposes, John Kirby, a White House official, said Tuesday.
Kirby, however, indicated that this information is preliminary and that USA continue looking for the remains of these three objects to analyze them and better understand their nature.
“At this point in time, and I advise this is only for the moment, we haven’t seen any sign or anything that points to the concrete possibility that these three objects are part of the People’s Republic’s spyware. Chinaor who were involved in some kind of intelligence gathering,” he said by phone with reporters.
Kirby said that US intelligence is looking into the possibility that the objects are connected to commercial or investigative organizations and that they are “absolutely safe.”
Incidents with “spy ball” and other objects
USA shot down a Chinese “spy” balloon over Atlantic waters off the coast of South Carolina on February 4, and over the past three days, shot down three more flying objects in its territory and in Canada, of which at the moment it was not possible to confirm its origin.
After the Chinese spy balloon incident, the Joe Biden government accused the Chinese government of developing a spy balloon “program” with the involvement of its military, which has already flown in more than 40 countries around the world. five continents.
For its part, the Chinese government assured that the first object shot down was a weather balloon that deviated from its trajectory, and claimed that at least ten American balloons flew over it. China something like this last year USA denies.
