Moldova temporarily closed its airspace for security reasons.

The corresponding decision was made on Tuesday, February 14. The airspace will be closed until at least 16.00. According to unconfirmed information, a drone allegedly entered the country. This is reported by the Realitatea resource.

The state-owned airline Air Moldova did not provide details on the reasons for the closure of the airspace, as well as for how long the restrictions were applied.

Dear passengers, at the moment the airspace of the Republic of Moldova is closed, we are waiting for the resumption of flights. Today’s schedule is undergoing changes, she noted on Facebook.

The information has not yet been officially confirmed by the aviation authorities of Moldova. The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) has not yet released a statement.

Earlier, a number of Telegram channels that track the movement of Russian aviation reported that a reconnaissance drone from Belarus flew into the territory of Ukraine, flew through the Zhytomyr and Vinnitsa regions and entered the airspace of Moldova.

This is how the territory of the country looks now on the Flight Radar resource.

Recall that during the last massive Russian missile attack, two Caliber cruise missiles crossed the border of Ukraine with Moldova and Romania in the direction of Chernivtsi.

Subsequently, the Ministry of Defense of Moldova confirmed the information about the flight of missiles over its territory, while Bucharest reported that they could not confirm the flight of Russian missiles over Romania.
