At least one person was killed and eight injured in a collision with a truck brooklynin New York City, police and local media reported.
Chief of the New York Police Department, Kichant SewellHe told reporters early on Monday morning that there was no indication that the incident was related to “terrorism”.
Agents attempted to stop the driver after the first hit, but the truck managed to escape and more people were injured in flight.
As a result, the car stopped, and the driver was detained.

An NYPD spokesman said three of the victims were riding bicycles or electric scooters.
Police have not identified the suspect, but local media said he was a man in his 60s known to Nevada authorities and public health officials. (AFP)
