On the anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine, events will take place in different parts of the world that will send a clear signal to Putin.
On the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, events will take place in various countries that will send a clear signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced on Sunday, February 12, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba on the air of the telethon.
“At the UN, in Kiev, in many other capitals of the world, various events will take place that will send a clear message to Putin: if you are playing a war of attrition, and you think that the time is on your side, you are very wrong, because unity in Ukraine is growing, and you are losing this war… By February 24, there will be new sanctions. They will be announced in different countries and institutions.” stressed the minister.
To clarify whether one of these signs is the visit of US President Joe Biden to Poland, which is scheduled to take place on February 20-22, the minister said: “Of course, this is also an important element of the tragic anniversary and an important element of the signal to Putin that I announced. Therefore, it is very important that President Biden is in Europe, especially in Poland, a country that plays a very important role in providing secondary weapons for Ukraine.”
At the same time, Kuleba said that it is not only about these measures.
“It will be a truly global event. Events. And they will take place in very different cities. But the main thing is their cumulative effect. That is, a combined signal,” he said, without disclosing other details.
Earlier, the White House announced that they are preparing a surprise for the anniversary of the war in Ukraine. Later, the United States officially announced Biden’s visit to Poland.
